The Døds Diving League (DDL) is proud to announce that the Døds Diving US National Championship 2024 will take place in Fort Lauderdale on August 3rd 2024. 

The event is part of the Døds Diving World, and will be one of two official events in the US. The winner of this competition will qualify directly for the Døds Diving World Championship, which will be held on August 17, 2024, at Frognerbadet in Oslo, Norway. Participants in Fort Lauderdale will also have the opportunity to earn points for the official Døds World Tour Ranking that qualifies for the World Championship.  

Døds Diving is the extreme, Norwegian viking style of diving, also known as Death Diving. It originally started as an underground phenomenon in Oslo in the late 1970s, and has evolved into a globally recognized sport. With 9 international events spanning locations such as the US, Norway, Denmark, Spain, and Sweden, the sport continues to grow. Media rights are secured with major distributors like DAZN, Extreme, Fox Sports, Pluto TV, and TV2, collectively reaching 190 million households across continents including Europe, the USA, Asia, Australia, and Africa.

 The sport's popularity is also exploding on social media, where it has achieved significant reach and was last year highlighted by Fox News as one of the fastest-growing extreme sports in the world, with over 400 million views on TikTok.  

The event in Fort Lauderdale will featuring some of the biggest names inthe sport like Jon Nyberg (USA), Reagan Popoff (USA), Asbjorg Nesje (NOR) Simen Fisk (NOR) and Herman Solstad (NOR).
